03Facial Recognition Data
The verification capture is stored in our EU region. It is used only to check that the same person does not vote twice.
The verification capture is stored in our EU region. AWS Rekognition holds a mathematical face embedding for duplicate detection. It cannot be turned back into an image and is not tied to your account.
Facial processing occurs within AWS secure infrastructure and complies with international privacy standards.

We do not sell or share your personal information except in the following limited circumstances:
- With AWS for secure cloud infrastructure and facial recognition processing
- With Google Cloud (Firebase), which hosts the application, accounts, polls and vote records in the United States
- With Stripe for secure payment processing
- When required by law or to protect our legal rights

- Deletion of your account and associated data
- Data portability where technically feasible
06Security Measures
We implement standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls on stored data.
Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS and encrypted at rest by the cloud services that store it. A poll set to public can be read by anyone with the link, including the name and contact address of whoever created it.
